West Yorkshire Financial Exploitation and Abuse Team (WYFEAT) offers a comprehensive training session designed to help you understand and address financial abuse and exploitation. This session delves into how financial abuse is covered under The Care Act 2014 and provides practical measures to safeguard service users from scams and doorstep crime. It includes real case studies from victims in West Yorkshire to illustrate the team’s work and emphasizes the importance of changing the stigma associated with being scammed. Aim of Session:
Learn more about the accredited 12 week parenting programme that you can refer parents/ carers onto through our simple referral process.
On this course parents will learn parenting techniques for children up 18yrs old. We cover a variety of interactive ways to learn about the importance of structure, routine, special time and consequences. We look at each child individual needs as we know that not all children are the same. We also look at how the parents background or current circumstances can affect their parenting such as DV, poverty, drug and alcohol misuse and/or mental health. We offer this course 3 times throughout the year in the Lower Valley and North and East and also offer evening courses for working parents.
Join two of the Strengthening Families Facilitators over lunch to find out more and see what this course can offer some of the parents / cares that you work with.
